Our Story

We, Tamsin Rounce and Alison Oakes, met at work, became friends, and quickly realised we were powered by the same things: kindness, honesty, laughter and the hope that work could actually feel good.

Between us, we have clocked up 66 years in all kinds of roles (yes, we counted!) from HR to banking, customer service to operations. We have seen teams thrive, stumble and everything in between. Along the way we discovered a shared passion for operations and making things work better, creating the kind of behind-the-scenes flow that helps people shine and businesses breathe easier.

In one special workplace we experienced something rare, the magic that happens when people click. Respect, fun, ambition, purpose… all in one place. And it changed us.

Fast forward to today, midlife chaos and all (families, dogs, curveballs, you name it) and we decided it was time to be brave. We left behind safe jobs to build something we believe in, Orange Consultancy.

You may be wondering where our name came from. To us, orange is more than a shade. It represents warmth, optimism and possibility. It is the glow of sunrise and the calm of sunset. It is new beginnings, fresh energy and a reminder that growth can feel both bold and balanced. Orange reflects who we are and how we work, open, uplifting and here to bring light to the people we work with.

Our promise is to help businesses and passionate teams grow with energy and clarity, without burning out or losing themselves along the way. Because work should fill your cup, not empty it. Because your success and making things work better excites us. And because we believe that balance across work and life is what makes growth sustainable, not exhausting.
